Shuffling the table
Cards under the top pile are merging into the deck — watch the table.
Deck: 54 cards — standard 52 (four suits × Ace through King) plus two Jokers (monochrome harlequin and red/yellow/black jester).
Lobby: host shuffles and picks cards each (≥2). When the game starts, one random opening card appears on the table (never a 2, 7, or Joker).
Draw penalty (2s): a 2 adds draw debt for the next player. They answer with more 2s: each 2 removes 2 from the debt. Clear the debt or pass what is left; or Accept penalty to draw from the deck.
Joker penalty: a Joker adds 5 to draw debt. Only more Jokers can reduce it (each removes 5). A 2 cannot be played on top of a Joker. Jokers are only played alone or as a group of Jokers (same as other multi-play rules).
7 (stop): playing a 7 queues a skip for the next player; on their turn they may optionally play a 7 to cancel one queued stop (same rank on the pile). If they draw, pass, or play without a 7, extra turns are skipped to apply the stops.
On your turn (when not in draw penalty), you may play a legal card, draw exactly one card from the deck (your turn then ends and the next player goes), or Pass to end your turn without drawing.
Same rank, optional: hold Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) and click each matching card (e.g. three 10s), then Play together; a normal click still plays one card.
Jack is wild: play it alone on anything, or play a Jack plus any other (non-Jack) card — the other card need not match the pile; the Jack is under it on the stack and the top card sets what others must match.
3+ players (tournament): each time someone wins a round, everyone’s leftover hand is scored (A=1, Q=2, K=4, 2=20, J=25, Joker=50, 3–10 face value); anyone over 10 points is out until only two remain for the final head-to-head and overall champion.
Use the compact Announce row below the table for optional hand hints; it clears if your hand no longer matches.
